The first drop of 7 MONCLER FRGMT HIROSHI FUJIWARA 2021 has arrived.
Creative, producer, musician and “godfather of streetwear” are just some of the many faces of Hiroshi Fujiwara, a true legend and one of the most influential personalities in the history of contemporary fashion and streetwear culture.

His legacy, more than 30 years long, is reflected in the approach to his collections, in which all his references are revealed through collaborations and stylistic choices totally out of the box, finding a perfect synthesis thanks to the multiculturality of his method.
Hiroshi Fujiwara approaches fashion from a personal point of view, creating garments that he himself would like to wear.

In a perfect fusion between the functional design and enigmatic slogans of Fushiwara the technical expertise of Moncler, the Japanese designer has created creations that are seemingly minimal but full of details. In addition to the unmistakable urban looks and a palette that is a harmonious composition of blacks, the 7 MONCLER FRGMT HIROSHI FUJIWARA 2021 collection is also enriched for the first time by a capsule collection dedicated to women’s clothing.

This first drop of the collection focuses on lighter proposals, suitable for mid-season: for men, the collection features bomber jackets, down jackets, workwear jackets and outerwear inspired by Fujiwara’s streetwear background, along with sophisticated reinterpretations of jersey knits, sweaters, Bermuda shorts and pants. For women, quilted skirts are paired with down jackets, while dresses, with quilted tops, are paired with outerwear in oversized silhouettes. The items are discreetly characterized by patches and the new logo.

The collection is characterized by sustainability, a look to the future by the Japanese designer who for the anorak has combined organic cotton and sustainable fabrics while for other outerwear has used recycled nylon fabric and recycled brass buttons.

The slogan of the season, WORLD OF MONCLER, appears on the back of the jackets evoking a concrete reality. Its acronym, WOM, can also be read upside down, to reinforce Hiroshi’s bond with the brand. Fujiwara continues to collaborate with Moncler in a coherent way, marrying the tradition, strengths and uniqueness of the brand and cultivating excellence in innovation, refined design and 360-degree communication approach.
There is no shortage of the collaborations we mentioned at the beginning: Lewis Leathers, the British brand specializing in leather garments, collaborates for the second season with a new version of its classic 441 Cyclone jacket, while with Converse, Fujiwara has customized the iconic Chuck 70, an ode to the Chuck Taylor All Star, and the Jack Purcell model.
The collection also includes accessories such as hats, caps and bucket hats.

For the launch of the collection, Fujiwara also created a short film, directed by ODD JOB, that pays homage to the city’s nightlife. To music created by the designer himself, actor Tomohisa Yamashita reacquaints himself with club life in an innovative piece shot with the dynamic monochrome effect, a reference to the British 2 Tone graphic aesthetic of the late 1970s. Tomohisa wears the collection’s signature jacket, which bears the slogan WOM – World of Moncler. The protagonist joins a crowd of clubbers, including girls wearing garments from the new women’s capsule: a reference to the joyful energy of nightlife.
