Aimé Leon Dore pays tribute to Queens and its residents

Andrea Tuzio

At least for this writer, Aimé Leon Dore represents the ultimate expression of contemporary preppy aesthetics, remixed with workwear and sportswear influences that define the philosophy of the New York brand and its founder Teddy Santis

Yesterday, Aimé Leon Dore presented his editorial dedicated to the Spring/Summer 2022 collection entitled “The World’s Borough”.

The title says it all. The home of the Santis brand is Queens, the largest in terms of surface area and the second largest in terms of population of the “boroughs” of New York City, intrinsically linked to every aspect (creative, communicative, etc.) of Aimé Leon Dore.

Queens, according to the American Community Survey, is also the most diverse and multicultural district in a city that is already the largest melting pot on the planet.

Precisely from this immense wealth, Aimé Leon Dore shot an editorial that brings together a series of “special” people who live and animate Queens and who are constantly a huge source of inspiration for Santis and for the brand in general.

“The most diverse county in America, Queens, New York is not only our home, but also a home to residents representing more than 135 languages, making it better know as ‘The World Borough’.
Through the years, we have built relationship with the most dynamic group of individuals, all of which represent various backgrounds and points of view. The World’s borough editorial highlights this special group who have come to inspire us on a day to day basis”.

With these words Aimé Leon Dore introduces us to “The World Borough”, the splendid editorial dedicated to SS22 that you can take a look at below.
