Within IN/FORM, the project that is redefining the spaces of Sebino’s headquarters, Alberto Monti’s intervention moves along a precise, almost inevitable line: that of the gesture. Not as an instinctive act for its own sake, but as a trace, as the visible residue of a passage, much like the elements from which it draws inspiration: fire and water.

Both, in the way they move through matter, leave tangible marks. They burn, consume, transform or erode, settle, redefine. It is within this double tension that Monti’s research takes shape, finding fertile ground in Sebino’s context. Here, where the control of fire is an integral part of production, the artist overturns the perspective and focuses on the consequences, on what remains afterward.

His intervention does not simply occupy a space, but moves through it and leaves its mark on it. The gesture thus becomes central, not only as a physical action, but as an emotional device, capable of translating an inner tension into visible matter.

During the interview, Monti emphasizes how industry has played a decisive role in his journey. Not as a simple context, but as an experience capable of leaving an imprint, a mark that has deeply influenced his way of working. It is precisely this relationship that now resurfaces within IN/FORM, finding a new form of expression.
Monti’s intervention thus fits into a broader narrative, built together with the other artists involved, while maintaining a strong linguistic autonomy. His contribution lies in bringing a gestural dimension into the corporate space, where each mark is the result of a direct interaction between body, matter, and emotion.
