Femininity, intimacy and delicacy are all elements that make up the NSFW shots of Italian photographer Alessandro Casagrande, who lives and works in Los Angeles. Equipped with a sensitivity with a vintage soul, the artist creates poetic images, characterized by a nostalgic atmosphere.
The woman’s body is part of a photographic series that seems to be the result of an album of memories and allows those who look at her to identify with a sort of love story; it is no coincidence that some images in our gallery are taken from her first photo book released in 2016, entitled Dentro.
The photographer-subject tension is one of the pivotal points of Alessandro’s photography, which waits for the moment of maximum agreement with the model, to be able to make a credible shot. The naturalness with which the deepest emotions emerge allows us to establish empathy with the spectators, who feel unconsciously “inside” the image, in history.
The artist has also argued that his work shows the public the essence of a story, which very often escapes in everyday life. It’s not easy to express one’s emotions, expose oneself and make oneself vulnerable: that’s why an image is worth a lot more than a thousand words.
