This year too, Altrove Festival, now in its sixth edition, will be held on 7 and 8 August in the extraordinary setting of the Parco Internazionale delle Sculture of Catanzaro. Among the guest artists of what has become one of the most important public art events in Europe stand out Alberonero, Domenico Romeo, Edoardo Tresoldi and many, but many others.
This year the focus of the debate are, in some way, the artists themselves and the space, both geographical and temporal, in which they were born and which they give their personal interpretation through their art. Vittorio Parisi, professor of Aesthetics at the Sorbonne in Paris, expressed himself in this regard as follows:
“The artists of the generation we are talking about have a privileged relationship with space, and with a particular type of space (that anthropocenic space that results from the crazy urbanization of the world): they were born there, artistically, in that space, and from artists they are the most direct witnesses, that is, they can grasp aspects that are difficult for others to access”.
The artists who will take part in Altrove Festival will be called upon to deal with this subject, which touches them personally, in various forms, going so far as to talk about how art has changed, what artists are looking for today and where they are going.
At the end of the Festival, artists and creatives will also speak about the processes of contemporary creation and new lifestyles.
An appointment not to be missed!
