An Open Door, Icy and Sot new installation against anti-immigrant policies

That duo Icy and Sot were politically committed has never been a mystery.
Their interventions and installations have launched provocations all over the world, hurling, albeit with an elegant and moving sensitivity, against obtuse and dangerous policies.

But if their previous work were not enough, the clearest and most direct work comes with the festival of contemporary art The Crystal Ship, in Ostende, Belgium.
For the occasion, the duo created An Open Door, a public artwork, which, following the technique that distinguishes them, opens a massive black door in the middle of a thick fence and barbed wire.

Once again, anti-migration policies and human rights, those for which they actively fight and never spare themselves, are under their sights, alongside artists like JR.
