Tom Yoo’s Lego Sneakers

Tom Yoo’s Lego Sneakers

Giulia Pacciardi · 5 months ago · Art

Creative maker Tom Yoo, active in the art-streetwear scene for years now, enjoys reproducing some of the most popular sneakers models ever thanks to the colorful LEGO bricks.

His creations, extremely difficult to reproduce but amazing, are some of the most interesting, and at the same time entertaining, objects you can find on the internet.

So appreciated that the artist decided to put them on sale to see them sold out a few moments later, just like the sneakers he is inspired by.

Among the most beautiful artworks, those dedicated to the Jordan 1 Retro High Travis Scott, the Nike Air Mag “Back To The Future” and the Nike Air Yeezy 2 “Red October”.

ProBoyNick the Russian artist who draws on dirty cars

ProBoyNick the Russian artist who draws on dirty cars

Collater.al Contributors · 5 months ago · Art

Nikita Golubev also known as ProBoyNick, Russian illustrator and artist, creates unusual illustrations using the dirt and soot deposited on dirty cars, trucks and vans. The artist is transforming the streets of Moscow by working on parked cars and transforming them into walking works of art.

The layers of dirt and the cars themselves become a perfect medium, made of colors and supports, for subtle images hidden inside them. His favorite subjects are portraits of animals and scenes of nature.

We all agree that Golubev’s canvases are unconventional and seem to be an art form that the public loves. It’s almost as if the work of this talented artist is so much appreciated that the owners of these once dirty cars won’t want to clean them anymore.

LEGO celebrates the 25th Anniversary of Friends with a brand new set

LEGO celebrates the 25th Anniversary of Friends with a brand new set

Giulia Pacciardi · 5 months ago · Art

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first unforgettable episode, dating back to 22 September 1994, LEGO has decided to pay tribute to the cult series Friends with a set entirely dedicated to the characters and places of the 236 episodes.

In particular, in addition to seven minifigures of Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Monica, Joey, Phoebe and Gunther, the set is dedicated to the Central Perk, the iconic favorite local of the group.
With the 1,070 bricks it will be possible to recreate some of the most memorable scenes of the series, thanks to accessories such as the coffee machine, the cookie jar, the cash register, the sofa and also the guitar and microphone shaft with which Phoebe intoned her unforgettable hit “Smelly Cat”.

The LEGO Friends Central Perk Set will be available on the website and in the stores from September 1st, if we were you, we would take it home immediately.

Edoardo Tresoldi will exhibit at Arte Sella from September

Edoardo Tresoldi will exhibit at Arte Sella from September

Collater.al Contributors · 5 months ago · Art

Arte Sella is an open-air museum located in the valley of Trentino, which for over 30 years presents works that seek to raise awareness of the fragility of nature and the relationship with man. On September 15, Edoardo Tresoldi will have the opportunity to exhibit one of his works, which will have a deep connection with the forest, right here.

Last year, due to strong winds, a large part of this site was lost. The path around Villa Strobele has been invaded by trunks that crashed to the ground and destroyed most of the art installations. The passages have been almost completely restored to their original condition. Arte Sella now offers new works of art and different suggestions depending on the season.

We have already talked about Tresoldi and his works made of wire mesh, ethereal installations that tell the viewer to consider absence instead of matter. Classic archetypes are mixed with a contemporary way of expressing themselves. The dynamism of these works is given by the natural conditions surrounding them, the sun, the wind, the clouds and the rain, in short, a continuous dialogue between the work and the landscape. Transparency also responds to the external agents that melt and dissolve the material. And when night comes, specially designed artificial lighting enriches the volumes and further accentuates the architectural compositions.

In recent months the artist has given some taste of his future work, on social channels. We just have to wait until September 15 and go and have a look.
