Meditation and spiritual purification practices do not consist only in the renunciation of earthly goods, in absolute silence and solitude, there are techniques developed over the years that involve ultra-modern spheres such as technology, with its noise and its ability to create imaginary worlds. This vision is the same deepened by Angelo Plessas, technoschaman born in Athens, who matured this philosophy at the beginning of 2000, during his stay in Korea, when the development of technology made him imagine the construction of new dimensions of body and spirit. The connection between spirituality and technology has thus become increasingly present in Plessas’ philosophy, so much so that he was chosen by Acne Studios for the Swedish brand’s new limited edition collection.
Since childhood Angelo Plessas has seen the internet as a chance to expand his inner gaze, as a kind of mystical revelation that would allow him to unlock his ego. To do this over the years he has not limited himself to the languages of technology but has approached the most disparate techniques such as art, the most traditional shamanic rituals, sound meditation and lastly clothing, in collaboration with Acne Studios. It is precisely with a ceremony that combines all these practices that the collection was presented, in a sunset ceremony in the hills of Malibu.
The garments of the collection include quilted cloaks, inspired by talismans and symbols that refer to spiritual concepts such as immortality and human evolution.
