Over time we have learned to appreciate Nendo‘s style and not only that, we have learned to recognize it and capture every aspect of it. The latest work by the Japanese design studio is the latest home of the international bar chain %Arabica.
Located in the Abu Al Hasaniya area, the bar stands out for its strong use of white cement, with which big steps have been built inside to replace the chairs and create different levels that allow interaction between seated customers and waiters. Moreover, this structure, which resembles that of the amphitheatres, also continues outside, creating a dialogue between the street and the inside.
The few furnishing elements contrast strongly with the architecture and, at the same time, recall the color of the coffee. So we see brass inserts and jute bags displayed on the shelves, up to the central counter that dominates the whole room.
Forget the traditional Italian roasters, in Asia coffee has a completely different style.
