Have you ever heard of anamorphism? Surely the Portuguese street artist Odeith has. In art, we speak of anamorphism when we refer to an optical illusion created by an image that appears distorted and that "reveals itself" only by looking at it from a specific point. This is precisely the lowest common denominator of all Odeith's works. Born in 1976, Sergio Odeith was born in Lisbon and grew up in the Portuguese street scene, which developed together with the hip-hop scene, becoming one of those few names that break through the national border and become globally known. As we have anticipated, his murals differ from those of his colleagues because they are based on a careful construction of perspective. In this way, the huge animals he depicts, his favourite subject, seem to come out of the wall and jump on us. In addition, each of his murals is characterized by a dark atmosphere, given by the use of dark and marked colors, which match perfectly with the places that Odeith chooses for his artwork, suburban and abandoned.
