ASICS Turns Waste into Sneakers

ASICS introduces NEOCURVE™, a new sneaker that redefines the concept of sustainable fashion. Crafted from recycled materials, including defective and unused shoes, this footwear merges cutting-edge design with a circular approach to production.

The shoe boasts a striking wave-like design with metallic finishes, and its color palettes evoke early 2000s technical wear, giving the NEOCURVE™ a distinctive aesthetic. Inspired by speed racing on Salt Flats, its sleek silhouette combines these elements with ASICS’ design philosophy. The result is a shoe engineered to support recycling and promote product circularity while maintaining a design approach tailored for everyday use.

Collaborating with Amsterdam-based Studio Hagel and Dutch company Fast Feet Grinded, which specializes in footwear recycling, ASICS has created a unique model. The sneaker blends retro aesthetics — with metallic finishes and 2000s-inspired lines — with technical innovation, aligning with a commitment to a more sustainable future.

Production localized in Europe minimizes CO2 emissions, with every step — from material collection to manufacturing — managed regionally. The inspiration stems from transforming what would otherwise be waste into a valuable resource, staying true to the brand’s ethos: “Anima Sana in Corpore Sano” (A Sound Mind in a Sound Body).

The NEOCURVE™ is priced at €250 and is exclusively available on asics.com and at select retailers.
