Starting April 1, 2025, Brescia becomes home to the Metro Urban Museum, Italy’s first museum dedicated to urban art integrated within a metro system. This unique, ticket-free and wall-less project unfolds along the city’s metro lines and at the Via Magnolini depot, turning everyday commuting into a moving art experience.

Featuring 600 square meters of painted walls and four fully decorated trains—amounting to around 2,000 square meters of urban art—the museum is an open-air gallery in constant motion. The official launch is marked by a monumental work by artist Peeta, titled Explicit Dynamics, which transforms the depot facade and an entire train through fluid geometry, optical illusions, and urban dynamism.

Peeta—born Manuel Di Rita—is internationally known for his three-dimensional artworks that shift spatial perception. His contribution to the Brescia metro continues a path begun in 2023 with artists Luca Font, J. Demsky, and Joys, each playing a key role in the metro’s artistic transformation.

The Metro Urban Museum is designed to be accessible to all, blending contemporary art with public space and sustainable mobility. In Brescia, the metro becomes a traveling museum—part of daily life, seen through the eyes of its riders.
