Chris Hytha is a 22-year-old artist from Phoenixville who currently resides in Philadelphia. Since high school, his greatest passion has always been to be able to represent architecture, first through drawing and then, when he began his studies in architecture, through photography.

This is how the artist describes his experience:

“When I moved to Philadelphia, I felt an enormous sense of freedom and curiosity that led me to photography. I photographed scenes of urban exploration as I walked over the roofs of the city. It has largely influenced my current work on Photoshop and my way of representing the city in a fantastic way with its part of mystery and loneliness”.

According to him, drawing and architecture allow him to stand out from other young photographers on Instagram. Chris, like many photographers, already sees the shot in his mind before he has even made it and then moves on to working with the colors and atmospheres using Photoshop and Lightroom.

“Philadelphia has a bad reputation as a dirty working-class city… I like to challenge myself to sublimate it and help people see the beauty around them every day”.
