Pop and hyper-coloured is the style of Claire Prouvost, a Dublin-based French artist and illustrator.
Born in Toulouse, Claire’s energetic approach to art is reflected in her subjects and her style. Whether it is a digital illustration, a painting, a mural or a print, what is never missing in her work are vibrant, saturated and bright colours that make everything bright and cheerful.
This stylistic choice goes perfectly with the subjects she uses to represent. Scenes of conviviality and sharing in which the protagonists are often young women captured in all their beauty.
In addition, every single element, from the clothes to the faces, from the furnishings to the food, are the sum of different geometric shapes filled with flat backgrounds that have often made Claire Prouvost’s work resemble cubism. In fact, it is not difficult to see a similarity with the masterpieces of the early 20th century artistic movement.
Claire Prouvost’s illustrations are recognisable and cheerful and have led the artist to work for various publications, but also for brands such as Gucci, Lavazza or LG.
