When artist Clemens Habicht created the 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle depicting an entire chromatic iris, the project immediately attracted attention and was considered a fun feat by many.
The illustrator, graphic designer and film maker has now upped the ante by making a version of the same work five times larger. 5,000 pieces make up a jigsaw puzzle measuring 153×101 centimetres.
Creating this work may seem like a difficult task, but taken in the right spirit it becomes a practice of visual meditation, an alternative chromotherapy session through which to have fun.
The main feature of the work by Clemens Habicht, who together with Jeremy Wortsman experiments with the puzzle format in the creative studio Play Group, is that each individual piece is cut so precisely that the same colour tone is never repeated in more than one piece.

The puzzle is made in Germany and can be purchased on the official PlayGroup website for $150.
