A sprinkle of magic
During this intricate period she has thoughtfully created a series entitled “Creatures of Hope“, where she superimposes photographs of the city with her whimsical and imaginative characters.
A series born after seeing her city slowly emptying out, the streets that before were crowded at all times of day now appear empty and silent. Almost an oxymoron if you will for the city of New York, so densely populated, famous for its chaos as well as for its extraordinary beauty.
So Loe Lee has decided to interrupt this silence, to suppress this unbearable absence, with her magical illustrations, drawing strange creatures walking around the Big Apple.
From Soho to Chinatown passing through the window of her house, the artist and illustrator has managed to suppress the loneliness that in this period has accompanied many of us.
