For those who grew up dancing to “Around the World” and spent their childhood building alternate worlds with LEGO bricks, this news feels like a small but tangible dream come true: the legendary pyramid stage from Daft Punk’s Alive 2007 tour may soon become an official LEGO set.

The idea was born during lockdown, out of a moment of boredom turned into pure creativity: Patrick Harboun, a designer and engineer, and his eight-year-old son decided to pay tribute to the most iconic robots in electronic music by building a brick replica of their most unforgettable stage. The result? A pyramid made up of over 2,000 pieces, with lights, transparent elements, and even a rotating central box powered by a small motor — all to recreate the dazzling visuals that accompanied tracks like “One More Time” or “Robot Rock.”

It’s not the first time Daft Punk has entered the LEGO Ideas universe. Back in 2020, another fan-designed project, a set featuring the two robots in minifigure form, reached the 10,000-vote threshold required for official review, but was sadly rejected in the final stage. A tough blow for fans. Now, though, hopes are high for a second chance.

The “Alive 2007” stage project has just surpassed 10,000 votes on the LEGO Ideas platform, meaning it’s now entered the official review phase by the LEGO team. If approved, it could become a real, purchasable set in stores worldwide. The final decision is expected by the end of 2025.

And maybe this time, we’re gonna celebrate for real.
