El Tiempo, one of the largest and most important newspapers in Colombia, to be exact the first newspaper by national circulation, has hosted on its pages one of the most interesting advertising campaigns of the last year. It is entitled “No black. No history. No news.“ and was created to convey a strong message of support for the fight against racial discrimination and in support of good information.
With this press campaign, El Tiempo wanted to remind people that without many influential black people like Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali, Pelé and Jimi Hendrix, journalism would not have great news and epic stories to tell.
The creative idea features a series of photographs that play on absence to highlight the importance of iconic black personalities while delivering a strong message of support and equality.
