The Kodak Aerochrome is an infrared-sensitive photographic film that paints in pink every nuance of green, originally used during the Second World War to locate the mimetic tracks of hidden soldiers.
The Irish artist Richard Mosse uses this particular film to tell the civil war that for years involved the Democratic Republic of the Congo with the aim to reinterprets the typical language of the war reportage.
The project, entitled Infra, has involved the artist for three years and is accompanied by a short documentary titled The Enclave, The Impossible Image.
