Brian Donnely, professionally known as Kaws has collaborated with Acute art for the launch of “Expanded Holiday“. A series of sculptures that will be featured in 12 cities around the world in augmented reality, from today until March 26th.
A project that represents a new exhibition model, but which also consists of a normal exhibition open to the public.
“When I realized the quality that could be achieved with augmented reality, I was immediately drawn to its potential. I have created objects and exhibited works in public spaces throughout my career, and this allows me to expand my work into a completely new arena. The possibilities of location and scale are endless, and I am excited to start a new dialogue in this medium”.
To see this particular exhibition just download the acute art app, everyone can keep the works for seven or thirty days and share their experiences through social media.
With this project, Kaws opens new horizons, but also returns to its beginnings. From street art to the recovery of public spaces to design, Kaws today has broken all the limits, creating a new global audience.
