Pride Month has come to an end with the end of June, but we shouldn’t forget to celebrate love in all its forms. That’s why, even though it’s no longer June, we decided to give space to IKEA Canada‘s initiative to show its support to the 2SLGBTQ+ community by creating Love Seats.
Love Seats is much more than just a campaign: IKEA Canada asked 4 designers (Madison Van Rijin, Ali Haider, Bianca Daniela Nachtman and Charlotte Carbone) to create 10 sofas inspired by the different Pride flags. This is how sofas filled with flowers in the colours of the rainbow, simulating a sky with fluffy clouds or covered with fabric hands came to life.
But IKEA Canada’s commitment didn’t end there. Once ready, the 10 sofas hosted members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community who shared their stories and love in short video interviews.
