Following in the footsteps of Kitchener‘s famous war poster “Britain Needs You“, young 15-year-old artist Rowan Briggs Smith created “Missing you” as a response to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Using mainly chalk, she drew two pictures that meet on the pedestrian walkway in front of the main building, one representing the school and the other the pupils with the message “Missing You“.
She worked on the project on Sunday morning and the artwork was clearly visible when the staff and students arrived on Monday.
“I know that my friends miss being at school and that the teachers miss us too. I wanted to use my art as a voice to recognize it, and the pedestrian crossing in front of the school seemed the perfect place to make a work of art.
