Located in a forest about 20 minutes from the lake in the Valle de Bravo in Mexico, the architecture firm Weber has designed “Rancho San Simón”.

The project is made up of five different habitats spread over an area of 5,000 m2 of land, surrounded by unspoiled Mexican nature and offering at the same time an incredible view of the forest.
Each house in the Rancho has its own terrace, and all the bathrooms have an interior patio with vegetation.
The bathrooms are volumetrically differentiated from the other rooms, with a lower height and wooden latticework structures that filter the light and offer privacy.

The predominant materials are volcanic stone that covers the walls, in contrast to the local pine staves and beams that form the structure and finish the lids. The furniture and all the decorative elements have been chosen and designed taking into account the suggestive surroundings.
The studio wanted to give a very natural look through the white oak wood that was chosen to accompany the other finishes.
The colour palette chosen is very sober and dynamic: grey was used on all the facades and interior walls.

“Rancho San Simón” is a real dream place, where you can spend your holidays isolated from everything else, immersed in the woods of Mexico.
