In the intimate and surreal universe of Grace, American photographer Scott Offen takes us on a delicate yet powerful journey, where image and identity merge in a suspended balance between myth, nature, and intimacy. Set to be released by L’Artiere at the end of May, the book is the result of a collaboration between Scott and Grace—his life partner and muse—who here is not just a subject but an active presence and co-author of a visual narrative that defies convention.

Grace is a project that challenges traditional portrait and representation standards, breaking gender norms and the limitations imposed by age and society. Grace moves through domestic settings and wild landscapes, blending her figure with natural and symbolic elements. In every shot, she emerges as a mythological figure—halfway between reality and dream—both powerful and elusive.

Shot with large-format cameras, the images reveal a slow and deliberate creative process, in which the photographer’s gaze overlaps with that of his model, giving life to a fluid, timeless narrative. Each page invites the viewer to shed imposed boundaries and immerse themselves in an alternate world where the body becomes a symbol and nature, a space for transformation.
