Everything is silent in Sean O’Connor‘s illustrations. Everything seems to be exactly where it should be, yet a strange feeling pervades us when we look at them.
Sean O’Connor, on Instagram @aseaofn, is an architecture student who dabbles in the art of illustration in his spare time. But even when he’s drawing he can’t help thinking about houses, cities, and the shapes of buildings. For this reason, his subjects are often scenarios and urban views, but you only need to look at a couple of his works to understand that there is something strange.

Apparently everything seems normal, but the arrangement of the houses, one in line with the other, the gigantic parables that occasionally peep out from time to time among the trees, the straight streets that go down to the sea, the almost total absence of people make the atmosphere surreal.
The scenarios illustrated by Sean O’Connor are reminiscent of places like Twin Peaks, where the apparent calm hides mysterious stories.

We have selected only some of his illustrations, but not to miss the next sequel to Sean O’Connor on Instagram.
