The fifth edition of the Seeyousound Torino Music Film Festival starts today, January 25th, and will end on February 3rd.
For ten days, cinema and music will be in the spotlight. As every year, in fact, the festival aims to shed light on films, documentaries, short films and video clips that speak of musical characters and currents or in which the music itself is the protagonist in the first person. The programme is full of events, from film screenings, such as Johannes Schaff’s Symphony of Now which will officially inaugurate the Seeyousound, to previews, from live performances to DJ sets, from masterclasses to conferences held specifically for this occasion.
Last but not least, the inevitable competitive sections that will see confronting docu, shorts and feature films, in this category stand out Lords of Chaos, which we talked about HERE.
A lot of space will also be given to the international film reviews Rising Sound and Into the Groove. This last category will also host the screening of Ex-Otago – Siamo Come Genova, presented by the director and the artists themselves.
Moreover, since 2019 is the year of the thirtieth anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, Seeyousound has decided to offer a trip in the two Germanies of those years and in the different music that animated the different parts of the city and especially a great special event, the live sound of the documentary of ‘ 27, Berlin Symphony of a Metropolis.

Although the festival takes place once a year, Seeyousound is a living reality 365 days that aims to tell the story of cinema through music and music through cinema.
