The first studies on the Sublime, as a state of mind, as a reaction of man to the immensity of nature date back to the first century after Christ. Then, in the course of history, this aesthetic category has seen a rebirth in 1700, thanks to the studies of Burke, Kant, Schopenhauer, who have made it come down to us, enter the books of art history and continues to fascinate artists and fans. 

From April 13, in the Chiostri di Palazzo Calcagni in Reggio Emilia, you can visit the exhibition “Sublime” born from the collaboration of Jergon, the new experimental partner of Cesura, and the platform photography Home For Photography. The exhibition, curated by Nicola Patruno, offers a path that leads the viewer to confront the Greatness, with that feeling of pleasure mixed with terror, through the works of eight different artists. 

The works of Nicola Patruno, Luca Baioni, Valentina Neri, Antonio Ottomanelli, Giulio Rimondi, Alessandro Rizzi, Luca Santese, Marco P. Valli, oblige us to confront ourselves with our limits, with the unknown, with greatness.
