Among the symbols that we would recognize everywhere and in any guise it’s impossible not to include the famous Nike swoosh, which with such pride we have always displayed on our sneakers at an early age.
But apart from symbols, another thing that has often been under our eyes is: art. From Leonardo’s Mona Lisa to Van Gogh’s Almond Blossom, from Botticelli’s Primavera to Caravaggio’s Medusa, it’s unlikely that you have forgotten or failed to recognize them, silently thanking high school years of Art History.
Well, starting from these assumptions, try to imagine the first and second point together and you will get one of the graphic series, Swoosh Art, created by Davide Bedoni, a fashion film director and passionate about the internet world, who has also dedicated to it an entire Tumblr.
This is how the famous swoosh became part of paintings from the 18th and 19th centuries, sometimes also taking part in the portrait scene. All this is sealed by the addition of Nike’s equally well-known motto, Just Do It, which, if necessary, while maintaining its indistinguishable character, also becomes a message that fits well with the painting.
