I know that there are still 39 days to Christmas, which seem many, but in the end not so much, but this year’s John Lewis and Partners spot is so beautiful that we can not help but talk about it. It’s called The Boy and The Piano and the undisputed protagonist of this two-minute video is none other than Sir Elton John.

The legend of the music is sitting in front of the piano, surrounded by the warmth of the house and begins to play the opening notes of Your Song.

The memories of a life of successes, great shows, days spent in the recording studio but always dedicated to music re-emerge. The flashback goes so far back in time that it shows us a little baby Elton John who receives a piano from his grandmother for Christmas.

“Some gifts are more than just a gift.”

A spot that will make even the most skeptical people shine their eyes.

To play the role of the young singer, several actors were recruited, from Freddie Henderson to Brandon Stein, Oliver Marshall, and Simon Burbage, and to celebrate it at most John Lewis and Partners has created a Christmas collection inspired by the spot, which also includes a piano.

This exciting advertisement, in addition to arriving a few months after the release of Rocketman, the biopic on Elton John that will be released next May, makes us want to see if the other commercials of Natalee will be up to the task, meanwhile I hope you don’t mind, I hope you don’t mind… but it’s Christmas time again.
