For today’s Short video for Breakfast, I went to find out about an old advertising campaign carried out by the Center for Science in the Public Interest that aims to shed light on the negative aspects caused by drinks such as soda, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and many others. In The Real Bears, directed and realized by Lucas Zanotto and set to music by Jason Mraz, we follow the story of a family of polar bears, used to consume large quantities of sugary drinks.
The members of this family happily continue their lives, until some health problems arise, all probably related to the abuse of these drinks.
Weight gain, tooth decay, impotence, diabetes. Only after arriving at the amputation of a limb does the family understand that these drinks do not give happiness, but only cause a myriad of health problems.
Obviously, the choice to make polar bears the protagonists, which we have seen for many years in the Coca-Cola commercials, is not accidental.
