MoMu, the Fashion Museum of Antwerp, is set to reopen

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all museums around the world have been overwhelmed by a major crisis because of the closures necessary to contain and contain the contagions.
Now, however, things seem to be slowly returning to normal for them too, thanks to the first reopenings.

MoMu the Fashion Museum of Antwerp announced its grand reopening, after a major renovation and expansion of its exhibition space, with a campaign consisting of 6 images made by some of the most important names in contemporary fashion.

Walter Van Beirendonck, Raf Simons, Glenn Martens, Marine Serre, Rushemy Botter and Supriya Lele, these are the protagonists of the campaign for the reopening of the MoMu that with a note explains: “we aim to arouse emotions and hope to promote an essential social dialogue”.

The campaign coincides with MoMu’s Fashion 2.021 Antwerp – Fashion/Conscious Program, which will open on September 4 and run through January 23, 2022.

The program consists of a series of exhibitions, outdoor projects, walking tours around the city, and all sorts of activities organized by the museum.
Each and every activity will be instrumental in delving into the theme of the “aim to elicit emotion and hope to promote essential social dialogue”.
The goal is to “inspire visitors to reflect, participate, challenge set ideas, relax and inhale the fashion culture”.
