The Marathon Diary, sometimes it’s not important to be first

Always Last is the young protagonist of the animated short film The Marathon Diary, made by Hanne Berkaak, who decides to take part for the first time in a competition through the cold landscape of Lapland. As soon as the race begins, Always Last understands not only that the route does not follow a predetermined path, already drawn, but also that the important thing is not to win but to participate.

During the race, the protagonist remains alone with herself, her thoughts and fears and in the end, only those who resist winning, a bit like in life.

The Marathon Diary is an animated fairy tale, for young and old, with a not too hidden message that makes us want to embark on a journey in which half is within us.
