Directors Wylie Overstreet and Alex Gorosh, with the help of friends, wanted to build a scale reproduction of our solar system, which proved to be a long and demanding task. Forget, in fact, the middle school models, the two directors have carefully studied dimensions and proportions and the perfect place to make this work turned out to be the Nevada desert. To Scale: The Solar System was born as they resumed the enterprise, a video that shows every single step of their project.
As the group of friends continues to mark the orbits of Mercury, Venus, Mars and so on on on the sandy ground, we finally manage to have a vision of how big the Solar System really can be and, at the same time, how infinitely small we are.
