12 street artists in Arkhangelsk for freedom of expression

In 2012 a collective of street artists met to redevelop an old courtyard in Russia in Arkhangelsk. The works were never completed, but since then the wall has lived its life.
Almost all local writers have contributed to it. It was more than just a painted wall; it became a milestone in the regional graffiti culture.

Eight years later, the project is back in vogue. Many artists came together to finish the work left incomplete years ago, all leaving their personal imprint.

On July 11 and 12, old and new generations of artists gathered in the courtyard of the Youth House. The key principle of the Festival was freedom of expression. There were no limits to their art, everyone had a part of the wall where they could do what they wanted. Now many artists have commercial projects, but the only thing they lack is freedom. This is what the festival gave them. Everyone had their own style and vision. Despite this, the finished artwork looks extraordinarily harmonious.

Here is who participated: Quick, Reduf, Mart, Schew, Koba, Tobe, Skea, Shae, Myka, Runeo, Rain, Screw.
