Over the weekend was held the funeral of Earl Simmons aka DMX, the New York rapper who died too soon last April 9th following a cardiac arrest.
On the occasion of the memorial service at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, YEEZY and Balenciaga realized a tribute tee dedicated to DMX.

The request for this collaboration came directly from Kanye West who opened the memorial service with his gospel group, Sunday Service Choir. Demna Gvasalia, Balenciaga’s creative director, immediately agreed and made the tee.
It is a retro style long sleeve in cotton and with an oversized fit that on the front has a silkscreen that portrays the rapper from New York, on the right sleeve his date of birth “12.18.1970”, on the left sleeve that of his death “04.09.2021”, while on the back the words “IN LOVING MEMORY”.

The DMX tribute tee by YEEZY and Balenciaga, priced at $200, sold out in minutes on a dedicated website created just for the event and all proceeds were donated to the family of the rapper who died prematurely.
