Johanna Ploch’s ironic illustrations

-
Giordana Bonanno

Roast chicken, neon colors, flying animals and a satirical vision of a chaotic world.

The artist and illustrator Johanna Ploch believes that the passion for what she does comes from the desire to tell stories and entertain people, no matter how trivial, strange or useless is a situation, just add a little color and some weird elements to give life magic illustrations.

Her creative process is almost always the same, often traveling Johanna brings with her a picture full of sketches and notes that she later transfers to her iPad, which turned out to be the perfect way to work, according to her mobility.

Sometimes her characters are almost annoying, but the irony with which they come to life also makes social rejection acceptable.
