The four new Air Jordan 3s in collaboration with Levi’s®

“Greatness attracts greatness” is not just the tagline of the new Levi’s® x Jordan collaboration: it’s a statement of intent. Because when two brands that have written the history of urban fashion decide to come together once again, the result can’t be reduced to a simple style exercise. It has to tell a story. And this collection does exactly that, putting not only the products at the center, but above all the people, the communities, and that invisible thread linking sport, music, cinema, and street culture for over forty years.

Levi’s and Jordan reconnect starting from a shared ground: iconic status. On one side, denim, the most democratic material of all; on the other, one of the most sacred silhouettes in sneaker culture, the Air Jordan 3. The result is a collection that feels born out of a cultural jam session rather than a marketing meeting.

The heart of the collaboration is, unsurprisingly, the Levi’s® x Air Jordan 3, reimagined for this occasion in four different versions. The Rigid is a pure celebration of indigo denim, with black-on-black elephant print reminding us that yes, this is still very much a Jordan collab. The Black version, instead, plays with tumbled leather, black denim, and ivory details, making it arguably the most everyday-ready option.

The other two versions are more site- and moment-specific. The Year of the Horse, created for Lunar New Year, is a small narrative object: ecru denim, fur inserts, red embroidery, and jacquard details that make it feel almost ceremonial. Finally, the LA Exclusive is a love letter to Los Angeles and its basketball legacy, with the “City of Angels” embroidery seemingly made to be worn courtside during All-Star Weekend.

Details like the Levi’s® Red Tab on the right shoe or the insole featuring the Levi’s® banknote graphic aren’t nerdy easter eggs, but subtle reminders of how deeply intertwined these two stories really are.

It would be a mistake to think the apparel takes a back seat to the sneakers. The Pinnacle varsity jacket feels like it comes from an imaginary archive where the Chicago Bulls meet American college aesthetics filtered through Levi’s. The Type III Trucker Jacket is deconstructed and given a boxy fit, while jerseys, hoodies, and overshirts hold together sports culture and street culture.

The real emotional hit, though, is the return of the “Button Your Fly” graphic, Levi’s iconic ’90s campaign immortalized by Spike Lee. Here it becomes a short-sleeve shirt that isn’t just nostalgia, but active memory: a direct bridge between past and present, between those who were there and those who are arriving now. And Spike Lee’s presence in the campaign closes the circle.

But he’s not alone. Alongside him is Jay Wright, drummer and son of Larry Light, closely tied to the historic “Button Your Fly” commercial. A choice that speaks about legacy, creative families, and a kind of greatness that isn’t inherited, but cultivated.

The cast then expands to skater Josh Velez, artist Rio Amor, and even a group of Tai Chi practitioners, all united by the same wardrobe but coming from radically different disciplines. The message is clear: greatness has no single form, nor a single stage.

All in all, Levi’s® x Jordan is a collection that speaks about subcultures, dedication, and identity, using denim as a universal language, and will be available starting February 20.
