PUMA for Scuderia Ferrari HP Monza Limited Edition: a tribute to Michael Schumacher

After thirty years Puma and Ferrari surprise us once again with a collaboration, releasing a collection dedicated to Michael Schumacher and everything he symbolizes. PUMA, together with Scuderia Ferrari HP, arrives at Ferrari’s home circuit with a collection that looks back thirty years. The PUMA for Scuderia Ferrari HP Monza Limited Edition pays tribute to Michael Schumacher’s first season in red. Not as a simple celebration of the past, but as a recognition of the beginning of something that still defines the Scuderia today.

Ferrari

In 1996, Michael Schumacher arrived at Scuderia Ferrari and began building something so great that no one could have predicted it. Not just a championship, but a culture. Schumacher still represents today a way of pursuing excellence through discipline, repetition, precision and total dedication, one that would go on to define the Scuderia for an entire generation. Shortly after his arrival, five consecutive World Championship titles followed, an era that forever transformed the team’s identity and the relationship between Maranello and its fans. But the legacy Schumacher left behind wasn’t only about the trophies, it was about the process that made them possible: a working method built on endless testing, obsessive attention to detail, and an almost symbiotic bond between driver and technical team that still stands as a benchmark today. Michael Schumacher wasn’t just a record-breaking driver, he was the man who redefined the very concept of professionalism in modern Formula 1.

The collection plays on a vintage aesthetic that goes back to where it all began, but the ones wearing it are the drivers already writing the next chapter. Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton bring it to the grid and through the streets of Monza, carrying into the present a piece of that determination that set everything in motion back in 1996. Schumacher paved a way: this collection doesn’t just remember it, it still walks it. The Monza Limited Edition includes a Replica tee, a Replica shirt, a racing jacket and a cap, each defined by the visual language of Schumacher’s 1996 season. A vintage reference reinterpreted with a distinctly contemporary execution, designed to be worn as much in the stands of Monza as in everyday life. The racing jacket is the piece that best expresses this connection: its seams directly echo the structure of Schumacher’s race suit, with the same paneled construction and the same precision designed for the cockpit, now reinterpreted to be worn on the streets of Monza. On the chest of the tee and the shirt, seven stars stand out, a direct nod to the seven world titles Schumacher won over the course of his career. The cap, meanwhile, carries his signature enclosed in a laurel wreath, a symbol that echoes the iconography typical of those years and is worn with the same pride it carried back then. Holding the whole collection together is a palette that leads straight back to 1996, dominated by Ferrari red and enriched with small white and gold accents.

But even before reaching the Temple of Speed, the atmosphere of the Italian Grand Prix ignites in the heart of Milan. The unmissable event is “Drive to Monza by Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0,0%”, taking place at Palazzo Reale, right next to Piazza Duomo, where Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton meet fans in an initiative created to celebrate the partnership between Peroni Nastro Azzurro and Scuderia Ferrari HP, with free admission for the public and a live broadcast on Sky Sport F1.

It’s in this very setting, as the city turns red on the eve of its home race, that Milanese fans get the chance to see the drivers up close and, with them, the Monza Limited Edition pieces they’ll be wearing on race weekend. A way of bringing Formula 1 out of the circuit and into the everyday life of the city, in continuity with other similar initiatives held in the past, like the street demo that brought Piazza Castello to life in March 2025.

What makes this project special is the way PUMA and Scuderia Ferrari HP have chosen to tell thirty years of history without falling into simple nostalgia. Every detail, from the seven stars to the laurel wreath, from the jacket’s stitching to the font used on the pieces, has been designed as a bridge between two eras: the one in which it all began and the one in which the Scuderia is writing a new chapter, with Hamilton and Leclerc leading a season fans are awaiting with great enthusiasm.

The Monza Limited Edition Michael Schumacher is available on puma.com, on store.ferrari.com and at a selection of official retailers, in conjunction with the Italian Grand Prix weekend.
