Slam Jam takeover for Milan Design Week 2023

Andrea Tuzio

One of the liveliest weeks for Milan and the design world begins today, Milan Design Week 2023.
For the occasion, Slam Jam will redo the look of its flagship store in the Lombard capital, completely renovating it and mixing together what are the foundations of Luca Benini’s creature, fashion, music and art.

The renovation of the space was overseen by Paolo Carcini of the architectural firm ASA, which works on multiple aspects from interiors to pure architecture to urban planning.

The renovation sets the stage for an immersive art installation created by Illya Goldman Gubin, a contemporary artist with a multidisciplinary approach who creates distinctive and peculiar works that thins the boundary between fashion and art, prompting viewers to reflect on the complexity of contemporaneity and how it is perceived.

Accompanying the installation will be a soundtrack created specifically and exclusively for the event by Giorgio Di Salvo aka AAR, who also designed the sound system, also custom-made, for the Foro Bonaparte flagship. The experience will be completed with a live performance by AAR starting at 6 p.m. today to test the new sound system.
