Not all photographers decide to devote themselves to extraordinary and unrepeatable subjects, some manage to transform everyday subjects, those we see with our own eyes every day, into works of art. Loes Heerink is one of them and in her series Vendors of Vietnam she was fascinated by the street vendors in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, who load their bicycles out of all proportion and ride around the streets of the city.
What characterizes these shots is the point of view from which they had been photographed: each seller is shot from above, from over the different bridges that are in the city, so we have an aerial view of the person and their bicycle that can be full of flowers, vegetables or fruit.
In addition to being aesthetically beautiful, these shots represent an aspect of a country different from ours, so much so that Loes Heerink has collected them in a book entitled Merchants in motion.
