Jordan Brand has just unveiled the Air Jordan 40, a silhouette seemingly designed for the new generation of elite players: a model that doesn’t just honor the past, but pushes the very concept of sports performance to new standards.

Four decades after the debut of the first Air Jordan, the new 40 marks a radical evolution. It’s the first model to combine two of NIKE, Inc.’s most advanced innovations: full-length ZoomX cushioning and the Zoom Strobel system. The result is an unprecedented blend of responsiveness, lightness, and energy return, designed for athletes who today need to move faster, jump higher, and recover quicker.

The design, true to Jordan tradition, doesn’t compromise. Every detail is crafted to elevate both style and performance on the court: from its premium construction to the 360-degree support inspired by MJ’s six rings, all the way to the 40-degree angled traction pattern — a graphic tribute to the line’s 40-year history.

The launch is scheduled for July 12 on jordan.com and at select retailers. Nine colorways will be released throughout the year, each featuring unique materials and details.
