From the day we began to understand that we would be facing a situation out of the ordinary, we tried in every way to keep you company.
We thought about how to do it, what you might appreciate, what words to use and how best to do our job, all away from our home.
Today, however, we have decided to ask for your help in the success of a project that we care about a lot and that we will carry on for at least a month starting tomorrow, March 20, 2020.
In order to give our contribution and actively help the Lombardy region, the one that hosts us and that currently has the highest number of cases, we decided to give life to “Art is Resistance“, a charity project that involves both artists and you, our readers.
From March 20th until April 30th we will tell on our Instagram profile of @Collater.al the work of some of the most interesting contemporary artists.
Through takeovers that will take place live on our channel’s Instagram Stories, each artist will show the making-of of an original work created for this occasion that will then be auctioned on 32auction.
The proceeds of all the auctions will be donated to the Lombardy region to support the Covid-19 emergency and used for the extraordinary purchase of consumables, such as masks, protective suits, disinfectants and equipment necessary for health care facilities, doctors, nurses, and staff to better treat the sick and limit the opportunities for contagion.
Our goal, and that of all the artists involved, is to fight this battle from home by helping those who work in the front line.
SOLOMOSTRY – live on @Collater.al and his profile at 15:00 on 20.03.2020
The first artist of “Art is Resistance” is Solomostry.
Born and raised in Milan, he graduated in Graphic Design & Art Direction but immediately approached the world of graffiti.
Solomostry is a multifaceted artist who ranges from screen printing to muralism, from painting to installation, and it is thanks to his eclecticism and his encounter with the techno/clubbing realities present in the Lombard capital that around 2007 he moved away from graffiti and gave life to his new subjects: the Monsters.
Tomorrow Solomostry will be live on our Instagram profile and on his own and will work on a artwork that, as soon as finished, will be auctioned on 32action where it will stay for a month.
We are waiting for you every day on our Instagram profile where you will be informed about dates and times of all the live sessions of the artists and then on 32auction, where you can contribute to the cause by buying a unique piece created exclusively for this occasion.
