It’s very likely that the title of this article turned your nose up at it, as if to say “what do you mean?”. Well, it’s all true. Let’s get the context straight, though. 

Christopher Walken has taken part in the filming of The Outlaws, a 6-part comic crime thriller TV series created and directed by Stephen Merchant, produced by the BBC and shot entirely in the UK. 
The series tells the stories of seven characters who find themselves doing community service to serve out their sentences after being convicted. 

Walken plays Frank, a man who has been assigned the task of covering up all the graffiti on the walls of a now abandoned structure. In the last episode Frank realizes that among the graffiti there is one of Banksy‘s iconic mice with a red signature and he points it out to his supervisor, who invites him to erase everything and Frank does.
A spokesperson for The Outlaws urged by The Sun on the matter stated, “We can confirm that the artwork at the end of The Outlaws was an original Banksy and that Christopher Walken painted over that artwork during the filming of this scene, destroying it”.
There is one catch. That graffiti had been created by the Bristol-based artist himself – and a big fan of Walken – during the very filming of The Outlaws, and the deletion had also been previously agreed upon.
