Tomorrow at Wunderkammern Milano the exhibition Disturbe will open, a real journey through the 15 years of activity of Biancoshock, an artist who, thanks to his public art interventions, today plays a significant role on the Italian scene and beyond.
Biancoshock – which owes his name to the fusion of the words “Bianco” (“white”), understood as non-color, as something that has yet to find its form, and “shock”, a word that characterizes his works and installations – began his artistic career in 1995 through street art and graffiti, but it was only in 2004 that he started the Urban Hacking project that made him known to the general public.
For 15 years, the Italian artist has been making artistic interventions in the streets of cities using everyday objects that are part of our everyday lives. With simplicity, immediacy and a good dose of humor, Biancoshock uses his art to address issues such as the constant presence of technology in our routine, consumerism, the situation of migrants and all the paradoxes related to modern society.
To celebrate this artistic journey, from 27 November to 21 December 2019 the spaces of the Wunderkammern Milano in via Edmondo de Amicis 43 will be filled with installations, documentation of site-specific works made in the street, sculptures, unique works and much more.
In addition, in conjunction with the exhibition Disturbe, Biancoshock will present Dipolo, his first monograph containing some of his works from 2004 to the present day.
