Eamonn O’Neill‘s animation work has been internationally acclaimed. In particular, I’m Fine Thanks received a nomination at the British Animation Awards.

The animated short has a surreal, psychedelic, almost delirious style that fits perfectly with the subject it deals with.

We follow the protagonist’s life from an early age, and we understand that he is a clumsy and embarrassing child that leads him to become a slightly unbalanced adult, always in conflict with the world around him.

At this point O’Neill shows us the way that his character decides to follow, that is to fight against anything or people who try to mistreat him, to crush him.

Then, however, halfway through the video, we retrace the entire path but with a different perspective, more rational.

Which way will be the best? Fighting against everything or letting yourself be mistreated? Where will the two choices take him?
