Baracuta, an iconic brand born in 1937 in Manchester, has recently unveiled its latest collaboration. After the out-of-the-ordinary one with ENGINEERED GARMENTS, the British brand chooses a unique and legendary partner, Japanese designer Junya Watanabe.Â
The object of the reimagining by the designer also linked to Comme des Garçons is Baracuta’s iconic G9 Harrington Jacket.Â
Known around the world for his avant-garde approach and ability to explore new concepts and ideas, Watanabe fits perfectly into what is Baracuta’s narrative composed of values such as inclusiveness, creativity and diversity.Â
It is precisely Watanabe’s experimental identity and personality that comes through in this collaboration, which offers a fresh approach to the iconic G9 jacket while at the same time managing to seamlessly unite his identity and that of Baracuta.
Below you can take a look at the campaign images of the Junya Watanabe x Baracuta G9 Harrington Jacket online at Baracuta’s website starting tomorrow, November 11.Â
