JW Anderson x Queer: The Capsule Collection That Combines Cinema and Fashion

To mark the release of Queer, the film adaptation of William S. Burroughs‘ novel, JW Anderson has launched a special capsule collection. Directed by Luca Guadagnino, the movie stars Daniel Craig and Drew Starkey, with costumes designed by Jonathan Anderson.

The collection draws on the themes and imagery of the film, blending fashion and cinema. The centerpiece of the collection is the hoodies, which feature the Queer title and bead-embellished drawstrings inspired by elements from the film. Some hoodies display the phrase, “I want to talk to you… without talking.” Available in gray, blue, gold, and bright pink, the hoodies also come in versions adorned with symbolic images from the film, such as stills of Craig and Starkey, landscapes, and key objects from the storyline.

The line is rounded out by t-shirts. The steel blue version displays the Queer title, while the gray melange tee is decorated with the “centipede necklace,” a symbol of transformation in the film. Accessories align with the collection’s visual concept: an off-white tote bag features a composition of objects from the story, while khaki and blue caps bear the Queer title in a minimal, graphic design.

The JW Anderson x Queer capsule collection became available yesterday, December 11, at JW Anderson stores in Soho (London) and Milan, as well as online at jwanderson.com.
