LOEWE announced with a post on their Instagram profile an upcoming as well as unexpected collaboration.
The Spanish fashion house, founded in 1846, posted three days ago a mini animation in which you can see one of the most iconic characters created by the genius of Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli – it is in fact an part of the logo of the Japanese animation studio – Totoro, co-star of the 1988 animated film My Neighbor Totoro, directed by Miyazaki himself.
From there on, it wasn’t hard to figure out that LOEWE would soon be releasing a capsule collection in collaboration with My Neighbor Totoro, given also the numerous posts in the following days and those of its creative director Jonathan Anderson.
There isn’t much more information about the collection but it’s likely that many of the items reference the characters and beautiful landscapes from the film.
The LOEWE x My Neighbor Totoro capsule collection will be available starting January 8th, but you can sign up to participate in the collection’s early launch with limited access here.
