“MARS,” Moon Hoon’s building inspired by the red planet

Architecture firm Moon Hoon has just released your latest spectacular project in the heart of South Korea, titled “MARS”.

The name of the building, “MARS”, is not accidental and refers both to the rather barren landscape of Hwaseong, and to the fact that the city and the red planet in the Korean language have the same pronunciation.
A futuristic and unconventional project by Moon Hoon studio, which wants to give a new image to the district, starting from architecture.

The building, which obviously could only be red like the planet from which, as we said, takes inspiration, was designed for a private client.
“MARS” is divided into three stacked rectangular modules that create a unique and never seen form.
The second floor will be used for commercial activities while the upper floors are exclusively for the client to make it his private home.

But in addition to the atypical shape of the building, to strike is also the spherical space that is located on the third floor designed taking inspiration from one of the largest domes in the world, that of the Roman Pantheon built by Adriano.
