Anyone who has ever tried to draw a person walking or running, a train traveling or the action of a sport will know how difficult it is to convey the sense of movement through a single static image. Sometimes, someone succeeds by sheer luck, but if this goal is achieved with every job, then we are faced with real mastery. This is the case of Michal Sawtyruk, a Polish artist living in Warsaw.
Michal specializes in the field of illustration and is normally involved in the visual development of projects for various clients in both advertising and film. For example, he has collaborations with DreamWorks, BMW, Axis Animation, The Line Animation and many others.

In his spare time, however, Michal Sawtyruk is dedicated to developing his own projects, from individual drawings to short animated videos. All of his works are characterized by a style that, despite the straight lines, square shapes and colors that do not always reflect the real thing, seem much closer to reality than many others.
All made digitally, his illustrations show a strong interest in urban subjects and natural landscapes. We move from the crowded streets of New York and San Francisco to desolate plains, from the Grand Canyon to Italian cities. What all his illustrations have in common is his ability to convey and capture movement, city chaos or the slow lulling of the waves of the sea moved by the wind.
